【涼やかな氷の音に、夏の暑さもふっと和らぐ午後】

毎月1回、京丹後市の「WAKUWA」さんで開催
のお茶セミナー【ゆったり日本茶時間】。

7月のテーマは「夏に嬉しいすっきり冷茶」でした。
⁡
今回はお盆の急なご来客
にもサッと対応できる、「氷を使った急速冷茶」を
皆さまと実践。
⁡
お湯で淹れてから一気に急冷することで、お茶の
豊かな香りとキリッとさっぱりした味わいが
引き立ちます。
今回は「煎茶」と「ほうじ茶」、それぞれの爽やかな個性を淹れ比べていただきました。

さらに今回は、新しくWAKUWAさんでデビューされる写真講座の先生もご参加！
お茶を淹れる所作や、今月のお菓子「土用餅」と
冷茶の涼しげな並びを、スマホで魅力的に撮影
するミニレッスンも開催されました📷

普段は裏方に徹している私の姿も、先生がとっても素敵に撮影してくださいました。

美しいお茶の風景を夢中で切り取る撮影会を通して、いつも以上に会話に華が咲き、笑顔あふれる
心地よい「心深呼吸」の時間に。

We held our monthly tea seminar, “Relaxing Japanese Tea Time,” at WAKUWA in Kyotango City.
This month’s theme was “Refreshing Cold Tea for Summer.”

This time we practiced a “rapid chilling method with ice”—a perfect technique for welcoming unexpected guests during the upcoming Obon holiday. By brewing with hot water first and cooling it rapidly, the tea beautifully retains its rich aroma and delivers a crisp, refreshing finish. We enjoyed comparing the distinct profiles of both Sencha and Hojicha! 🧊

We were also joined by a new WAKUWA photography instructor! We had a lovely mini-lesson on capturing the elegant movements of tea brewing and our beautiful summer sweet, “Doyo Mochi.”

As a special treat, the instructor even captured a wonderful photo of me brewing the tea—something that rarely happens since I’m usually the one taking the pictures!

The fun photo session sparked even more lively conversations than usual, creating a space filled with smiles and a moment to take a deep, mindful breath (Kokoro Shinkokyu).
